Amanda Holden on Botox....

Amanda Holden (aged 40) has said that she is happy to admit that she has used Botox to remove her wrinkles and will continue to do so in the future.  The Britain's Got Talent judge says that she first had the treatment after noticing growing creases around her eyes during the filming of Wild At Heart.  Holden said: "I have had Botox, which I'm happy to admit. It's running out now, though - I need to go again. I agree with Simon Cowell. It's like cleaning your teeth - maintenance.

"It's like getting your roots done. I think as long as you don't go stupidly over the top. I can move my face."

She added: "You can still see I've got some Botox in my forehead but the rest has virtually worn off. Yes, I think it's character and everything else, but f**k it! That's why I need to get it done again."

Ugly Betty Star Does Botox and Loving it!

Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams has admitted she does use Botox but will never get hooked on the anti-wrinkle jabs.

Vanessa, 46, is a former Miss America champion and confessed she has used Botox as she's got older.

She said: "I use Botox as an aid, not a crutch, and it's definitely not something I would get hooked on. Some people are Botox junkies. You see them and think: 'What has happened, is that really you?'

"They have had so much Botox and filler that they can't even move their face and they don't look like themselves."

She added: "I don't know how anyone can become so detached from what they see in the mirror. Or maybe they get addicted to being wrinkle-free.
"It's fine to take away a couple of laughter lines, but I don't want to look like anyone else. I want to look like myself. If it takes a little Botox here and there that's fine, but I'm not going to go crazy." She said: "A lot of looks and stares are borrowed from my mother - the diva of the family. She could melt ice cubes with her stares and was a master of the glare.

Botox is available in Edinburgh - please see http://www.skincredible.co.uk

Botox users could be banishing wrinkles forever

By Kirsty Topping (Deadline News)

BOTOX could slow down the clock by permanently erasing wrinkles, new research has claimed.  Doctors say that people who have undergone several treatments are effectively retraining their facial muscles, which means lines are done away with.  And the effects can last even after someone has stopped using the anti-aging treatment.
Darren McKeown, a leading cosmetic surgeon, said: “The lasting effects are now being mentioned at medical conferences and several surgeons are noting this clinical observation. “When the skin is no longer getting stressed by the underlying muscles, there seems to be a repair type process. “Deep lines eventually fade even if the muscle still works. “That’s why celebrities who used it van get away without it now.”. Celebs who have vowed to banish the Botox injections include 40-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden.
She recently said she hadn’t needed any treatment for a year as her facial muscles had been retrained.
Dannii Minogue, 39, said she had ditched the treatment for the same reasons while Scots singer Lulu said: “Enough is enough. Been there done that.” in reference to her treatments. Evidence to support the claim was published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. A study of the long term effects of Botox on woman in their early 50s revealed that their skin became smoother following the use of Botox over a seven year period.
The London-based authors wrote: “Non-reducible forehead lines were removed, suggesting dermal and epidermal remodeling over long term treatment.” They also noted that no new wrinkles had formed.
