What is Botox?

BOTOX is the brand name given to Botulinum Toxin type A. It was first refined and used cosmetically by a company named Allergan. It works by blocking nerve impulses that trigger wrinkle-causing muscle contractions, This smoothes out wrinkles and lines and makes the skin look fresher and more importantly, YOUNGER!

It has been used cosmetically for over 30 years now and millions of treatments have
been undertaken showing how safe and effective it is. The medicinal form of botox is extremely dilute and very safe when injected correctly by medically qualified practitioners. Some say it is a 'poison'. This is technically correct, but in medicinal form it is extremely dilute and almost impossible to cause significant harm when injected for cosmetic use.
